Welcome to The EC LOC Collaborative

Building Power, Sustainability, and Social Capital for Leaders of Color in Early Childhood.

About the Early Childhood Leaders of Color Collaborative

Welcome to our vibrant community of Early Childhood Leaders of Color (EC LOC)!

We are a group of individuals who have come together with a shared mission: to inspire and empower one another as leaders of color in early childhood.

Through a Collaborative that is for us by us, we aim to drive positive change in the field.

What we prioritize

Our community strongly believes in the power of social capital, recognizing that our relationships and networks play a crucial role in our professional growth and impact. Through regular meetups, members-only events, and community-building opportunities, we actively invest in strengthening these connections.

Sustainability is our priority. We understand the importance of taking care of ourselves as leaders, both in mind and body. We offer resources and support to ensure our members can thrive, build new skills, and continue making valuable contributions to the early childhood field through the organizations and career journeys they lead. From wellness workshops to professional development opportunities, we strive to nurture our collective sustainability.

Our ultimate goal is to build greater power within the early childhood field allowing us to influence systems that create thriving environments for children and families. By providing a platform for our members to collaborate, share insights, and advocate for change with funders, we aim to amplify our collective voice and influence. Through collaboration with key stakeholders, funders, policymakers, and organizations, we seek to address systemic barriers and create more equitable opportunities for all children, families, and leaders.
